  X-GMT Exam 2018 to be conducted by Xavier University, on 28 Jan 2018.

The exam date for X-GMT has been released by the Xavier Institute of Management (XIMB), Bhubaneswar.  The on-line exam is scheduled to be conducted on January 28 2018.

X-GMT (Xavier General Management Aptitude Test) to be conducted by Xavier University, at Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai, on 28 January 2018.

It is conducted for taking admission to Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme offered in business management, human resources management (HRM), Rural Management, Urban Management & Governance, Sustainability  Management, MBF, global management and leadership and integrated doctor of philosophy (PhD) programmes for the academic year 2017.

Paper pattern:

  • The test will compromise of multiple choice question based on five sections i.e. quantitative aptitude, data interpretation and logical reasoning, verbal ability, emotional quotient and general awareness
  • There will be sectional time limits
  • For every wrong answer, negative marking will be done
  • The pattern and syllabus will be similar to the other tests like CAT and XAT
  • The duration of the exam will be 120 minutes

About-X-GMT:- The X-GMT is the entrance test is being conducted by the Xavier University of Bhubaneswar (XUB) since last year and the on-line test is scheduled on January 10, 2016. The test is conducted for admissions into Master’s programs offered in Human Resources Management, Business Management, Rural Management, Management program for Executives and integrated PhD programs - all for the academic year 2016.

The duration of the online X-GMT test is 120 minutes. The test will consist of five sections namely quantitative ability (QA), data interpretation (DI), comprehension & logical reasoning (CLR), emotional quotient (EQ) and general knowledge & current affairs (GKC). The type and nature of questions will be similar to the other prominent entrance tests for management education. The medium of the test is in English language for all candidates. Some sample questions are given below.

The five sections during the test will appear in random sequence and there will be sectional time limits, which means a candidate will not know the next section and has to complete a section in a given time. If a candidate finishes any section early, (s)he has to wait for the next section to begin and one cannot go back to a completed section.

For attempting X-GMT the candidate should have three-year Bachelor's degree from a recognized university in any discipline and the marks scored in graduation should be at least 55 %. Candidates who expect to complete the final part of their degree examinations by June 15, 2018, can also apply
