XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test)–last 7 years trends

Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) conducted by Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI) is being now held for 60 years in India as well as abroad in conventional paper-pen mode to select the most appropriate candidates for management education. It is considered the most prestigious exam in India after CAT. More than 90 thousand student appears in the exam every year. More than 150 Institutes accept XAT Score including top management institutes of India XLRI Jamshedpur, XIM Bhubaneswar, SPJIMR Mumbai, IMT Ghaziabad, FORE School of management, IFMR GSB Sricity, GLIM, XISS Ranchi and Others.

XAT 2019 Exam Date: January 06, 2019 (10:00 AM-1:00 PM)

XAT Exam 2019: XLRI has announced to conduct XAT Exam 2019 with new test pattern on Jan 6, 2019.  Although XAT 2019 exam pattern remains online computer based test. Besides, XAT 2019 exam duration has also been reduced to 3 hours from earlier three & half hours. Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2019 exam will be conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur on behalf of XAMI from 10AM to 1.00PM in a single session on January 6, 2019.. Till 2017 XAT Exam Pattern remained a Paper Based Test. 

Changes in Negative Marking: XAT Exam 2019 pattern reveals that there will not only the penalty of negative marking for wrong answers only but the XAT 2019 test takers will also be imposed with the penalty of deduction of 0.05 mark per question if more than 12 questions are left unattempted in XAT 2019 question paper.

The thought behind keeping XAT based on paper pencil mode, according to XLRI admission Chair is to ensure that all the candidates from varying backgrounds are at par.This reason may not be valid anymore. The paper-pen mode also aims to test all the candidates on exactly the same set of questions, and not on different sets.
